Nothing is bought on this site, so this covers pieces agreed with Joana directly after a request.

Made-to-order pieces

Every piece is printed to the specification you choose and, where relevant, to the measurements you give. Under Spanish and EU consumer law, the fourteen-day right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to the consumer's own specifications or clearly personalised — article 103.c of the Spanish consumer act, and article 16(c) of Directive 2011/83/EU.

In plain terms: a piece printed to your measurements cannot be sent back simply because you changed your mind, because it cannot be sold to anyone else.

If something is wrong

That is a different matter, and your rights are unaffected. If a piece arrives damaged, faulty, or is not what was agreed, write to hi@joanamichaela.com with a photograph and your order details as soon as you notice.

Depending on what has happened it will be repaired, remade or refunded. Return postage for a faulty or incorrect piece is not yours to pay.

Measurements

If a piece is made correctly to measurements that turn out to have been given wrongly, it falls outside a fault. Write anyway — an alteration is often possible, and it is better to ask than to have something unworn.

Before you commit

Because these pieces are made rather than stocked, ask everything you want to ask while it is still a conversation. Samples, colour references and photographs of previous work are all available on request.
